Area Attractions
- Ave Maria Grotto
- Also known as Jerusalem in Miniature, the Ave Maria Grotto is the life work
of Brother Joseph. Over 100 famous buildings and shrines from around the world
are recreated in miniature from stone, concrete, and cast-aways, such as
marbles and broken china.
- Clarkson Covered Bridge
- Built in 1904, the Clarkson Covered Bridge is one of just fourteen covered bridges left in Alabama.
- Cullman County Museum
- The Cullman County Museum is housed in a replica of Col. Cullman's home. It
has been preserving Cullman's past since 1973.
- Cullman Depot
- The restored Cullman Depot, located at the corner of First Avenue NE and Arnold Street, contains displays about railroad history in Cullman, and also houses the United Way of Cullman.
- Weiss Cottage
- Cullman's oldest home, Weiss Cottage was home to Dr. Aldo Weiss and his family of five. In 1976 it was restored as a Bicenntenial project to what it would have looked like in 1875. It is now on both the state and national Registers of Landmarks and Heritage.
